ISOGRAM
An isogram is a word or phrase that contains no repeating letters. In other words, each letter in the word or phrase appears only once. For example, "latchkey" and "quick brown fox" are both isograms, while "banana" and "Mississippi" are not.
Isograms are often used in word puzzles, games, and cryptography as a way to challenge players to create or decipher messages using only unique letters. They can also be used in linguistic analysis to study the distribution and frequency of letters and sounds in languages.
In addition to words and phrases, isograms can also refer to geographical features such as rivers or mountain ranges that do not cross or intersect themselves. These types of isograms are commonly used in cartography and geography to create maps and diagrams that represent the spatial relationships between different regions and features. Examples of such isograms include the 180th meridian, which forms the basis for the International Date Line, and the continental divide, which separates the drainage basins of different river systems.
