dissimilation

İngilizce - Türkçe

DISSIMILATION = Dissimilation is a metabolic process in which complex organic molecules, such as carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, are broken down into simpler substances like carbon dioxide, water, and energy. This process involves the release of energy from the organic molecules, which is then used by the cell to carry out its various functions. It can be aerobic or anaerobic, depending on the presence or absence of oxygen. In aerobic dissimilation, oxygen is used to break down the organic molecules, whereas in anaerobic dissimilation, other molecules, such as nitrates or sulfates, are used instead of oxygen. Dissimilation is an important process in both plants and animals, as it provides the energy required for various cellular activities. The end products of dissimilation, such as carbon dioxide and water, are then released into the environment, where they can be reused by other organisms in various ecological cycles.
