DIAMAGNETIC
Diamagnetic refers to a property of materials that causes them to be weakly repelled by a magnetic field. In other words, diamagnetic materials will tend to move away from a magnetic field, as opposed to being attracted to it like ferromagnetic materials. This property arises because diamagnetic materials have no net magnetic moment in the absence of an external magnetic field. When a magnetic field is applied, the electrons in the material will begin to move in response, creating a small, induced magnetic field that opposes the original field. This causes the material to be repelled from the magnetic field.

Diamagnetic materials include most non-magnetic materials, such as copper, gold, silver, and carbon. While diamagnetic materials are not strongly affected by magnetic fields, they can still exhibit some interesting properties in the presence of strong magnetic fields. For example, a diamagnetic material can be levitated by a strong magnetic field, as the repulsive force between the material and the field can balance the force of gravity.
