shock - get/give a shock

Yanlış : The electric cable shocked him.

Doğru : The electric cable gave him a shock.

Elektrik kablosu onu şoka soktu.

To shock, duygusal açıdan şoke etmek, şoka sokmak demektir. Elektrik çarpmasını anlatırken get a shock veya give a shock kullanılır.
